Study On Sustainable Development Of The World Heritage Cultural Landscape Of Mount Wutai

World heritage is a symbol of human history,culture and civilization and it is a combination of culture and nature.It represents the most valuable cultural and natural landscape,and it's common wealth of all mankind.The use of world heritage for scientific investigation and dissemination of historical and cultural knowledge is the true embodiment of its value.For a long time,human beings and nature have produced a continuous interaction and created a continuous state of association driven by economic,cultural and social factors.And cultural landscape is the representation and carrier of this state.Mount Wutai was listed on the World Heritage List in 2009,it is a typical landscape that blends natural landscape with Buddhist culture,which fits the core value of world heritage cultural landscapes—the relationship and integration of human beings and nature.Mount Wutai has its unique cultural value and preserves the rich cultural heritage such as ancient Buddhist buildings.Besides,it is also a national geopark with rich geological resources.This thesis selected World Heritage Cultural Landscape of Mount Wutai as the research object,firstly,the characteristics of natural and cultural heritage resources are expounded,and their values are compared and analyzed.Secondly,based on the principles of sustainable development,the characteristics of mountain-type cultural landscape and the connotation of sustainable development,the evaluation indicator system in sustainable development of Mount Wutai was established.The evaluation indicator system consists of 4 key indicators: natural environment,cultural environment,tourism facilities environment and social environment,also they are further divided into 17 specific indicators.Then,we employed the Analytic Hierarchy Process method and Linear Weighting method to establish quantitative evaluation model.The results show that Mount Wutai is in a state of mediocre sustainable development as a whole.Among them,natural environment is in a state of mediocre development,cultural environment is in a state of sustainable development,tourism facilities environmentand social environment are both in a state of mediocre development.It shows that the cultural environment is the superiority of Mount Wutai and it is also an important manifestation of its humanistic value.What's more,the natural environment has also enhanced its development.In addition,the tourism facilities environment and social environment in the study area need to be further improved.Finally,based on the evaluation results,combined with the situation of the field visits,the following suggestions for the shortcomings that may threaten the sustainable development are proposed: I.Enrich and optimize the structure of heritage tourism resources;?.Improve tourism service facilities and traffic convenience;?.Strengthen publicity and education,enhance awareness of protection,and improve management;?.Improve the popularity of Mount Wutai,promote website construction and broaden the media;?.Integrate with other tourism resources to achieve regional tourism integration.
