Preliminary Research On Western Snowland-themed Watercolor Landscape Paintings

The theme of western snowland has always been highly appreciated in modern and contemporary painting circles.Under the guidance of national policies on art and literature,and depending on its peculiarity of natural geographical environment,humanity history,architectural art,religious belief,etc.,western regions are attracting numerous artists to come over for creation sources and inspiration.Regional culture is formed through mutual adaptation and coordination between geographical environment and human lives.Different regional cultures create varieties of art forms.Artists from different regions have different feelings for western snowland,especially watercolor artists present western snowland in a wide variety of forms like flowers of every kind in bloom.This article analyzes the peculiarity of regional environment and humanity characteristics in western snowland as well as expression techniques,aesthetic orientation,etc.on western snowland by artists and makes comparison with the snowland-themed watercolor landscape paintings in Northeast and other areas.Meanwhile,it starts with the famous artists and classic works,and combs through the objects and techniques of creation as well as the emotional colors,in order to interpret and describe art forms of watercolor paintings on western snow-covered plateau,hoping that the research on language art and style characteristics of snow-covered plateau-themed watercolor landscape paintings is able to provide certain reference for the studies on variety of watercolor paintings.The article,by citing examples and adopting the methods of image analysis and comparative study,etc.,makes a relatively all-round analysis on snowland-themed watercolor landscape paintings and summarizes their peculiar artistic characteristics and aesthetic orientation.Meanwhile,combined with the excellent art works,the article discusses the creation mentality for western snowland-themed watercolor landscape paintings,analyzes inherent meanings of the works and dissects creation techniques of the artists.At last,combined with the western snowland-themed watercolor landscape painting of my own named Beyond the Window,I will talk about the process and understanding from my creation.
