During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, various schools of painting emerged in the painting world at a time, including Zhe School,Wumen School and Songjiang School during the Ming Dynasty.Among them,Zhe School, headed by Dai Jin and Wu Wei,dominated the painting world for decades to the late Ming Dynasty. However,as far as literature research is concerned, there is not much research on Zhe School. The reason for little attention is paid to it is that according to the "South and Northern Schools" proposed by Dong Qichang in the late Ming Dynasty, the Zhe School was classified as the Northern School of Painting,so it was rejected by painters in the late Ming Dynasty. Therefore, there was a blank in the history of research on this school after the Qing Dynasty. This didn’t change until the early 20 th century.Since then, people began to study the Zhe School and attached importance to its influence, and there is also the inheritance and development of the new Zhe School artists centered on Hangzhou. This paper mainly made an in-depth study through the works of Dai Jin and Wu Wei,Exploring its artistic characteristics and inheriting development through the comparison between Zhe School and Academic Style Painting School of Southern Song Dynasty.
