This article takes “tradition” and “innovation” as two breakthrough points and is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which introduces the motivation and purpose of this article.The second chapter is takes the music of Mengfeng,Capriccio No.2,as an example and introduces its compositional background and analyzes the music.The third chapter is an analysis of the performance techniques involved in playing this piece.The fourth chapter is the artistic treatment and analysis of the music piece "caprice no.2--mengfeng".The fifth chapter is the comparison between the solo version of shao qin and the ensemble version of "the second piece of caprice--mengfeng".This paper mainly discusses Gao Shaoqing's contribution to Erhu music and art by analyzing the performance technology and artistic treatment of “Mengfeng,No.2 of Capriccio”.The appearance of Shaoqin(improved Erhu)which he invented greatly broadened the possibility of Erhu from appearance and performance technology,which undoubtedly plays a great role in promoting the development of Erhu art.“Mengfeng” is one of the five “Capriccio” series created by Shaoqing.The author thinks it is very epochal and innovative.This song combines Chinese music elements with foreign music elements.This is a new attempt,which may just bring new ideas.On the basis of maintaining the original tone of Erhu,we should make bold attempts and innovations.This innovation highlights the times.George Gao is the pioneer of such a road.
