Research On Contemporary Chinese Cultural Identity

Modern Chinese cultural pattern is mainly composed of Chinese traditional culture,western capitalist culture and Marxist culture.Contemporary China is dominated by Marxist culture,but there are problems of how to abandon Chinese traditional culture and how to deal with the infiltration and expansion of Western capitalist culture.There are different internal conflicts between the three theories and cultural subjects.In the view of historical materialism,the emergence of cultural identity in contemporary China has economic,political and global roots.To resolve the cultural conflicts in contemporary China is to realize the recognition of the dominant position of Marxist culture by the masses.The realization of such mainstream cultural identity has economic,political and cultural conditions,educational and communication conditions,as well as the main conditions.Contemporary Chinese cultural identity exists not only the struggle of mutual exclusion and separation between mainstream cultural identity and non-mainstream cultural identity,but also the pursuit of similarities and differences between mainstream cultural identity and non-mainstream cultural identity,the guidance and penetration of mainstream cultural identity to non-mainstream cultural identity,and the approaching and transformation of non-mainstream cultural identity to mainstream cultural identity.From the subjective point of view,cultural identity includes three stages:the overall recognition of cultural ecology,the discrimination and selection of specific cultural concepts and the practice of cultural concepts.Utilizing the realistic conditions of contemporary Chinese cultural identity and based on the law of cultural identity,we can consolidate the dominant position of mainstream cultural identity,guide cooperative non-mainstream culture to approach mainstream culture,resist backward and hostile non-mainstream culture,and ultimately realize the healthy cultural ecology of unified dominance and pluralistic coexistence.
