Wei,Jin and southern and northern dynasties are the critical period in Chinese linguistics development.During this period,Chinese phonology appeared,and there are new developments in semantics rhetoric.In terms of the conditions at that time,the prevalence of Buddhism,the development of verse,and the prosperity of literary criticism all had a positive effect on the development of linguistics.As the representative of Jian'an Literature during the Wei and Jin Dynasties,Caozhi's poetry was in unique style and shown that his literary talent as same as his high moral quality,which revealed that emotions,flowery language,and harmony rhythm.The study on the language of his poems mainly focuses on semantic research and rhythm rhetoric,but there is a lack of research on the original appearance of his language vocabulary.Based on this consideration of returning to the language itself,the thesis discusses the composition,characteristic inheritance and innovation of Caozhi's poetry vocabulary in four parts.In the first chapter,monosyllabic words in the Caozhi's poetry are in study.It comprehensively analyzes the distribution and characteristics of these words,and counts a total of 1,588 monosyllabic words in the poetry.According to the word feature,it is divided into nouns,verbs,adjectives,adverbs,pronouns,conjunctions,prepositions,auxiliaries,numerals,quantifiers and other ten classes.Among them,515 are nouns,654 verbs,241 adjectives,79 adverbs,25 pronouns,16 conjunctions,12 prepositions,20 Auxiliaries,12 numerals,and 14 quantifiers.In the second chapter,polyphonic words in the Caozhi's poetry are in study.The polyphonic words in the poetry are divided into two classes: simple polyphonic words and synthetic polyphonic words,and each class is specifically analyzed.It is counted a total of 1188 compound words in the poetry,of which 28 are simple words,including 9overlapping words and 19 consecutive words,and the remaining 1,160 compound words are compound words,including 30 overlapping words,692 formal words,329 joint words,and 95 dominant words.In the third chapter,the historical gradation of the vocabulary in Caozhi's poetry is be classified and divides it into two classed: ancient words and new words.It is counted a total of 2,337 ancient words in the poetry,of which 1,923 are in the pre-Qin period and414 are in the Han Dynasty.In addition,there is also a total of 869 new words in the poetry,,of which 449 new words and 420 new meanings.In the fourth chapter,the value of which the study of vocabularies in the Caozhi'spoetry to lexicography is in discussed.It mainly clarifies the words including the words that need to be illustrated in the advance,the uncollected words that need to be added,and the addition of new meanings and so on,in the "Chinese dictionary" and "Chinese dictionary".In the conclusion,it is summarized the study of the first four chapters.First,there is a total of 1,588 monosyllabic words in Caozhi's poetry,accounting for 57 % of the total number of words,1188 polyphonic words in the poetry,accounting for 43 % of the total number of words,and 104 monosyllabic new words in the poetry,accounting for 23 %of the total number of new words,There are 345 polyphonic new words,accounting for77 % of polyphonic new words.This shows that monosyllabic words still take advantage in the use of words.At the same time,it should also be seen that polyphonic words are produced to catch up with monosyllabic words,which also confirms the conclusion that the Han Dynasty began Chinese polyphonic more and more obviously.Second,through the comprehensive arrangement of vocabularies in Caozhi's poetry,new words were added to large dictionaries and large lexicons,which provided a total of42 examples and 55 new meanings.
