Conducting Method Of Lorenzo Perosi's Messa Da Requiem

Lorenzo Perosi's “Messa da Requiem” is a sacred music work for male chorus and Organ with Latin lyrics,and it was composed for the Order of Mass in 1897.The author of this paper tries to study the music style and the religious character of this work by learning Lorenzo Perosi's life,the background of this work,the research status,and knowing Perosi's religious belief and the idea of that the sacred music should serve liturgy which Perosi advocated.The author also would like to analyze the lyrics,melody,rhythm,harmony and the artistic expression in conducting.This paper is divided in 4 chapters:Chapter 1: The introduction of Lorenzo Perosi's life and the background of “Messa da Requiem”.Chapter 2: The analysis of “Messa da Requiem”(Lryics,Melody,Rhythm,Harmony)Chapter 3: The artistic expression in conducting of “Messa da Requiem”.Chapter 4: The difficulties in the rehearsal.
