The Acoustic Study Of Vowel Space In Qingdao Dialect

Qingdao Dialect belongs to Jiaoliao Mandarin Qinglai District.There is a narrow sense and broad sense in Qingdao Dialect.In a broad sense,Qingdao Dialect is the generic term of dialects used by each district and county in Qingdao.In a narrow sense,Qingdao Dialect only includes Qingdao Downtown Dialect.The research object in this thesis is the Qingdao Dialect in a narrow sense.In this thesis,12 speakers with different gender and age are conducted the preliminary dialect investigation and corpus recording of experiments.Corpus tagging,data extraction and data analysis are used to explore the difference of Qingdao Dialect's vowel acoustic space in gender and age of speakers.Meanwhile,vowel phonetic system of Qingdao Dialect is summarized to some extent.In addition to study the phonic space of monophthong and the phonic space of diphthong in Qingdao Dialect,the study on formant trajectory of diphthong is increased between them,aiming to find out the subject part(main vowel)with the most obvious features in the formant region,so as to provide bedding and identification standards for phonic space research on diphthong and offer prediction to possible allophone or other special situations,thus the study on diphthong will be more scientific and reasonable to compare with the hieratical difference of gender and age.Through data sorting and analysis,main conclusions are stated as follows: In gender difference,when main vowel of monophthong or diphthong has the vowel with the middle or high position,male speakers in most of situations have the front vowel position by comparing with women.When main vowel of monophthong or diphthong has the vowel with the low position,male speakers in most of situations have the back position relative to women.In hierarchal difference of age,when main vowel of monophthong or tail vowel diphthong without nasal has the vowel with the middle or high position,young speakers in most of situations have the back position relative to the elderly.When main vowel of monophthong or tail vowel diphthong without nasal has the vowel with the low position,young speakers have the front position.When the main vowel belongs to diphthong with nasal tail vowel in the low position,young speakers' main vowel will have the back position by comparing with the elderly under the influence of nasal tail vowel.In addition to main conclusions,the author sorts out the vowel phonetic system between the young group and the elderly group of Qingdao Dialect,conducts preliminary exploration and reasonable guess on partial vowel influences caused by mandarin,and carries out classification description and preliminary analysis for special phenomenon in corpus tagging process.
