Abagaand Sunite Vowel Acousic Analysis

This thesis is researching the vowel of Abaga and Sunite sub-dialect by speech analysis tool called PRAAT and has founded the Abaga and Sunite speech parameter database. In this database, there are the positions of tongues of short vowel, long vowel and diphthongs. In addition, this thesis contrasts vowel length, intensity and vowel height.This thesis has three parts including introduction, main part and conclusion.The introduction is not only talking about the overview of Abaga and Sunite and research profile but also research method, speakers and parameter database.The main part is composed of four chapter. In the first part, there are some short vowel data by analyzing the positions of tongue of vowel from Abaga Sunite sub-dialect, vowel length, intensity and vowel height. And this thesis has found that vowel of Abaga Sunite sub-dialect is different with the Mongolian standard vowel by formant parameter and position of tongue. In the second chapter, there are some long vowel data; it is the same with short vowel description. In the third chapter, this thesis is talking about diphthongs of Abaga Sunite sub-dialect which have dynamic changes. In the fourth chapter, there are some analysis data which is researching vowel harmony and accent of Abaga Sunite sub-dialect.At last, there are conclusions of this research.
