Shostakovich is one of the most representative Russian composers in the 20 th century.<Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk> is the final opera in his opera creation.Although the opera was criticized by the Russian leadership at that time,it was still a highly professional opera.The study of this opera is also a professional and dramatic extension of shostakovich's opera creation.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text(four chapters)and conclusion.In the first chapter,the author briefly narrates shostakovich's life(youth,middle and late years)and important nodes in the music creation process,and divides shostakovich's works into three categories: orchestral music,piano music and vocal music.Finally,combining the previous two parts,the author analyzes and explains the historical background of shostakovich and places the historical background in the opera lady Macbeth of McHensk county to be studied in this paper.The second chapter is the text analysis of the opera "McHensk county lady Macbeth",through summarizing the contents of leskov's original work "McHensk county lady Macbeth" and shostakovich's opera "McHensk county lady Macbeth",the content of the two are compared.Finally summarizes the plot content change and the reason for change.In chapter three,the relationship between characters in the opera lady Macbeth in mnuchinsk county is sorted out.According to the plot of the opera,the character of katerina and her inner contradictions are analyzed,and the dramatic analysis of this character is carried out from the music of katerina's aria.In chapter four,the author analyzes the four main cantos of katerina from three aspects: the content of the lyrics,the characteristics of the melody and the singing.
