Reflective teaching is considered to be an effective way to promote the development of teacher.Since the 1970 s,reflective teaching has received constant attention from some educational scholars in various countries.In recent years,because of the new curriculum reform,more and more teachers and scholars have begun to explore the application of reflective teaching in high school English teaching.In order to investigate the true situation of reflective teaching in senior high schools.This research intends to solve the following two problems:1,What is the current situation of reflective teaching of senior high school English teachers in terms of their attitude and the ways of reflection?2,What are the factors affecting reflective teaching of senior high school English teachers?The research selects 80 English teachers from 7 high schools in Mudanjiang and Heihe as the research subjects.All the data come from the questionnaires and the interviews.It investigates from three dimensions:teachers' attitudes toward reflective teaching,the main ways of reflective teaching and factors affecting reflective teaching.The collected data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively.As for the attitude of reflective teaching,the majority of English teachers hold a positive attitude towards reflective teaching and they are aware of the importance of reflective teaching.However,some teachers have a negative attitude towards learning the theoretical knowledge of reflective teaching.As for the main ways of reflective teaching,teachers' own reflection,reflection through students,reflection through colleagues are the main ways of reflective teaching.As for the factors affecting reflective teaching,internal factors include teachers' experience and the professional knowledge of the reflective teaching.External factors include the constraints of time,the atmosphere of communication between colleagues,and the rules and regulations of the school.Based on the above problems,this thesis puts forward some suggestions on reflective teaching: teachers should strengthen the theoretical study of reflective teaching;teachers should put reflective teaching into practice and become an action researcher;teachers should try to collect students' feedback through different ways;schools should provide teachers with a good atmosphere of reflective teaching;schools should strengthen the construction of relevant systems to ensure that teachers can carry out reflective teaching;schools should pay attention to the cultivation of teachers' reflective teaching abilities.
