Teachers are the foundation of education.Under the condition which English learning environment is not available,English teachers are the main facilitators of students' English learning.Teachers' professional quality will directly affect English teaching.Professional teachers are the key to the comprehensive development of students,the continuous innovation of the school and the continuous improvement of education.Reflective teaching is the intrinsic motivation of the English teachers ' professional development.Teachers' professional development standards provide a framework for reflection on teachers' strengths and weaknesses.Nowadays,most English teachers know how important it is to have a reflective teaching,but there is still a lot of confusion on how to reflect on things and how to conduct an effective reflection.This study is based on the review of the literature of the teacher's professional development.According to critical theory and lifelong education theory,the method of questionnaire and interview is proposed.From the perspective of teacher professional development,this paper investigates the current situation of reflective teaching in F county.The investigation finds that the main problem of English teachers in junior middle schools is lack of professional conception,which lead to the week consciousness of reflective teaching.Some English teachers have weak professional knowledge,which leads to narrow and shallow reflection.The lack of professional competence has led some English teachers to choose simple ways to reflection.For example,discussing with colleagues or writing diary after class.There are two main reasons for these problems: the school part and the teachers part.The school part has three reasons.First,school cannot provide a good environment for reflective teaching.Second,the evaluation system of teaching is simple,too much emphasis on the success or failure of students' achievement.Third,school neglects the cultivation of teachers' development.The teacher part also has three reasons.First,the role of English teacher is confused that they have no time to reflect.Second,some teachers have a negative attitude towards teaching and unwilling to rethink.Third,some English teachers are lack education responsibility and they are indifferent to their progress.So there are some advice for these problems.In the school part should encourage teachers to develop and provide reflective teaching platform for them.First,school should provide training for teachers' reflective teaching.Second,school need provide the network for reflective teaching.Third,School should improve the system of evaluation of English teaching reflection.In teacher?s part,teachers should insist on self-professional development and use reflective teaching correctly.First,they should adjust professional attitude and establish reflective consciousness.Second,teachers should improve the structure of knowledge and insist on high-efficiency reflection.Third,teachers need increase professional ability and carry out reflection action.Look forward to improve the level of middle school English teachers' development.Increase the level of English teaching in junior high school.Then it can benefit to teachers' professional development and students' development.
