The Shape Of Time

The art critic Clement Greenberg(1909-1994)once said: "The modernist artistic language advocates abandoning the narrative nature of art,returning to the purest artistic language and materials,and letting the artistic language and the material itself.Read beyond the narrative." Creating materials play a very important role in the development of contemporary art.As you can see through the development of contemporary art,artists will pay more and more attention to creative materials,and even some artists will use materials as their starting point for creation.The continuous use of creative materials has created a larger creative space for contemporary art and provided more creative possibilities.Time is an important topic along with the development of art.It is true that the time in the creative materials is used as an important proposition to create and create,starting from the creation of contemporary art.The importance of time in the materials of contemporary art works is no less than the expression of time on other levels of artistic creation.This is where I want to explore the temporal value of contemporary art work materials.This article is discussed in four parts.The first part is the introduction,which leads to my topic,and introduces the research purpose and significance of the subject,literature review and research methods.The second part is a time-based overview of the materials in contemporary art works,which is analyzed from the temporal research background and characteristics of materials in contemporary art works.It also proposes creative materials as a medium for metaphorical ideas and concepts,and plays a role in sublimation of the expressive power of artistic works and artistic concepts.The third part starts with the time performance of the materials in contemporary art works,from the three aspects of the creative materials carrying time,the time effect on the creative materials and the time acting on the creative materials.The fourth part starts from my own creation and discusses how the theory of research is applied to my creative practice,and what kind of inspiration and influence on my creation.In the summary part of the article,the analysis and analysis of each chapter is a good summary of the points.It clarifies the significance of the temporality of materials in contemporary art works in contemporary art.
