| The issues related to ‘human’ have always been an important concern of Chinese philosophy,and the study of this issue is often inseparable from the Confucian tradition of ‘sage’ thought.The original meaning of the word ‘sage’ in Chinese traditional etiquette culture refers to a woman who is 20 years old and has held a ritual ceremony,or a man who has reached the age of 20 and has a crown and a word for him.However,since the famous discussion of ‘sage’ between Confucius and Zilu,the word ‘sage’ has begun to have a personality connotation,not only that the age and body of the person have reached the adult standard,but also closely related to the ‘ideal personality’ and other issues.Confucian traditional ‘sage’ thought is an important part of Confucian ideal personality theory.Different Confucian scholars have rich interpretations of ‘sage’ ideas and each has their own emphasis.Confucian scholars set their own ‘sage’ goals in their minds,and endowed them with different ideals of ‘personality’,and then pursued and perfected them.As a famous thinker in Song Dynasty of China,ChenLiang also developed the ‘sage’ theory of his own unique merits based on the inheritance of the ‘sage’ thought of the predecessors.In the famous ‘Zhu Chen’s Debate’ with ZhuXi,ChenLiang first proposed his ‘sage way’ in a systematic and comprehensive way,and revised and improved it in several arguments with Zhuzi,and finally with mainstream science,forming an ‘sage’ thought with its own characteristics and emphasis on kingliness without.This paper studies the background,main content and basic characteristics of ChenLiang’s ‘sage’ theory,and intends to extract the essence of the thoughts that are beneficial to the shaping of contemporary Chinese nationality and the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. |
