As the main body of traditional culture,as early as the pre-qin period,Confucius established an ideal personality system based on the gentleman and the sage. This ideal personality system, with "benevolence, righteousness, filial piety, loyalty, faith, respect" as the main, constructed the highest moral standards of the society at that time.Confucius' thought has far-reaching influence and rich content, and his ideal personality system contains profound human subjectivity, which not only respects and perceives nature, but also explores the spiritual power of man himself.Under the break of modern spirit, contemporary China is facing an unprecedented moral crisis. The specific manifestation is the lack of world outlook, outlook on life and values, and the corresponding moral system has not been established. However, there are still abundant resources in the ideal personality system of Confucius. This paper focuses on the full text of the analects of Confucius, and mainly examines the ideal personality system of Confucius through four parts. The second part, combining with the analects of Confucius, analyzes in detail the expression, connotation and cultivation path of Confucian gentleman's personality. The third part analyzes the personality of Confucius sages "internal sanctity" and "external king";The fourth part, combined with the background of The Times, summarizes the modern value of Confucian ideal personality system: when thinking about life,Confucianism often stands in the perspective of the world to think deeply about the relationship between man and the world, and explores the essence of man, which defines society as an ethical community. Therefore, the ideal personality system of Confucius plays an important role in the construction of the ideal personality of contemporary citizens and the construction of global ethics.
