A Research On The Thoughts Of Rule By Virtue In “Shangshu”

Rule of virtue is the main idea in Shangshu.Based on the previous research results,this paper systematically combs and integrates the thought of rule of virtue in Shangshu,and excavates its value to today's society.This paper analyses the thought of rule of virtue in Shangshu from three angles: the origin and basis of the thought,the content of the thought and the national culture nourishment of the thought of rule of virtue in the new era.The thought of rule of virtue originated from the worship of heaven in Xia and Shang Dynasty and transited from worship of destiny to match heaven with virtue in Shang and Zhou Dynasties.The realistic basis of the thought of rule of virtue is the rulers' reflection on the collapse of Xia and Shang Dynasty and their response to the complex political situation at the beginning of Zhou.The people-oriented thought is the basis of the thought of rule of virtue.The combination of rule of virtue and rule of law is the guarantee of the practice of rule of virtue;sacrificial divination makes the emperors clear of their responsibility of inheriting ancestors and succeeding generations,and in order to get the blessings of gods and ancestors of heaven,earth,mountains and rivers,he must cultivate morality,so sacrificial divination in Shangshu is also an important means of rule of virtue.The innovation of this paper lies in the combination of the thought of rule of virtue in Shangshu and Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and the analysis of the reference and nourishment of the thought of rule of virtue in Shangshu from the perspectives of people-centered,democratic rule of law and strengthening party building.This is also the main significance of this paper.
