A Study On Relationship Between Lu Jiuyuan's Xin School And Cheng Brothers' Luo School

By investigating the historical and ideological relationship between Lu Jiuyuan's Xin School and Cheng brothers' Luo School,the following conclusions can be drawn.Lu Jiuyuan is relatively close to Cheng Hao in thought,it is mainly reflected in the connection between Lu Jiuyuan's “ben xin” and Cheng Hao's“metaphysical ben xin”.But Lu Jiuyuan's theory of Xin is not derived from Cheng Hao's thought.The similarity between the two men in ontology and gongfu theory is obvious.Both of them advocate the identity of "xin" and "li" in Noumenon.Therefore,although the starting point of the thought is not the same,the argumentation process is also different.Cheng Hao began with Yi Zhuan to recognize the Noumenon,then reached the "tian li" identity of "ren xing" in Zhong Yong,and then returned to the theory of subjective mind in the Analects of Confucius and Mencius,forming the theory of ren and the theory of xin,and his whole thought was based on li.The establishment of Lu Jiuyuan's theory of xin is based on Mencius,takes the universe as the beginning,takes complacency as the process,and forms the thought of xin Noumenon covering cosmology and paying attention to the theory of subject mind.Although there are some differences between Cheng Hao and Lu Jiuyuan,their thoughts are very different from those of Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi from ontology to gongfu theory.
