The landscape painting in the Qing Dynasty is one of the most direct ways for future generations to learn and reference.It is a combination of the landscape painting of the predecessors.And it contains excellent methods of imitation,in addition,it also strikes out a new path.Antique imitation and stylized are typical of this era.Wang Jian and Wu Li are the representative painters of this period,and they were meticulous in inheriting and developing the paintings and calligraphy of the Song and Yuan dynasties.Due to the particularity of the times,the value orientation,individuality and style pursuit of the painting,both of them have achieved unity in the pursuit of Wang Meng's painting style in the Yuan Dynasty,and have certain commonalities.They could learn from the ancients,but didn't pay great attention to copy the ancients,and create themselves style.In the Yuan Dynasty,there was a unique background in the history of painting,and the whole social atmosphere had a great influence on painting.Wang Meng is the most representative of the four great painters of the Yuan Dynasty,with extraordinary brushwork,powerful skill,unique composition and so on,Wang Meng occupied a place in the painting world after the Ming and Qing Dynasties.This paper analyzes and studies the material selection and spiritual content conveyed by Wang Meng,in addition,the theme of the composition and the whole content form of Wang Meng's numerous works are also concerned.The image language form of Wang Meng and cultural form from writing into painting are studied in a comprehensive way,and then explores the way and mode chosen by scholars of Ming and Qing dynasties in the process of further learning.What's more,the way of scholars of Ming and Qing dynasties summarized in reference and development of their relevant characteristics is also explored in this paper.This paper takes a deeper look at Wu Li and Wang Jian's paintings from their personal experience,social relations,mentor-disciple relationship,etc.,as well as the commonality between them learning from Wang Meng,and then rises to the psychological process of theoretical research.And through the appreciation and comparison of painting works,further comprehensively interpret their characteristics.
