Research On The Reform Of Prostitution Donation In Modern Suzhou

Prostituion donation is a general term for the business income of prostitutes and musicians in modern China.It appeared in the local financial reform in the late Qing Dynasty.As a temporary note of local finance,prostitutes,musicians and license fees are the main donations in various regions,and business donations,entertainment donations or flower donations are also levied in some regions.At the same time,the government collects flower donations under the name of "prohibition in levy",and implements the policy of "privatization in public,prohibition in management".Therefore,the financial reform of flower donation generally resides in the regional economy,but it will also change because of prostitution prohibition and other factors.This paper takes the modern flower donation reform as a clue,focusing on the structural process of Suzhou's social economy.After the Treaty was signed in 1896,Suzhou began to raise funds for the opening of ports by itself,such as patrolmen and roads.At the same time,when Japan demanded the establishment of exclusive concessions for patent sources,the government misappropriated the Western system,set up a commercial bureau to collect donations for prostitutes,and actively planned out-of-town prostitution zones to develop commerce in order to divide Japanese patents locally.Later,in the New Deal of the late Dynasty,the donation was transferred to the Suzhou Police Office and raised money through prostitution.Through the restructuring of the patrol police,the restructuring of the local social power structure was initiated.However,it was difficult for the official power to expand in the local power,and the phenomenon of prostitutes' donation and private collection also existed all the time.Up to 1920,theV donation of prostitutes had entertainment taxes were suspended,tax rates were raised,customers' diet and entertainment consumption behaviors were taxed and withheld by business units.However,the dignity of the military,police and civil servants resisted donation and rent-seeking,and took advantage of the opportunity to make profits,so that most of the tax burden was transferred.From theirtax rates,prostitutes in this period could be seen.Tax burden.In addition,after sorting out miscellaneous donations and the recovery of public prostitutes,flower donations are collected by the collection office of donations
