On The Native World In Li Peifu's Novels

Li Peifu,as a leader among Henan writers,has attracted much attention from the academic circles.Especially his description of the local world in the plain of central Henan makes him an indispensable writer in the local literature.In the tremendous changes of the times,he still chose to take root in the countryside,focusing on the description of the status quo of the "Central Henan Plain",because he firmly believed that people living on the plain land,no matter where they went,there would always be a piece of land behind them.Therefore,after the 1980s,he focused on the operation of local grassroots power and the social problems arising under the oppression of such power.Li Peifu hopes to find a way to revitalize the countryside through his discovery and writing,which has great cultural and social significance.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the multiple local world presented in Li Peifu's novels.Writing from three aspects:power world,money world and body world,this paper studies the operation mechanism of grass-roots power in the central plain of Henan Province,the erosion of money on the countryside and the variation of gender relations in the countryside.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of two types of characters in the rural world,the rural escapees and the left-behind.The part of escapees mainly analyses the reasons for choosing to leave the countryside and the mental state after escaping,while the part of the left-behind mainly explores the social reasons behind the stay and the development problems after the stay.Chapter three mainly analyses Li Peifu's criticism of the national character,his examination of the local values and the rural outlet in the process of urbanization from the perspective of reflection of the local world,so as to explore how to find an opportunity for the rapid development of the rural economy.
