The importance of English as an international language is self-evident.With the promotion of China's international status,the country's demand for high-quality and high-capacity talents is increasing.And basic education has received much attention.Along with the release of the new curriculum standards and the reform of the national college entrance examination,the relevant departments try to eliminate the examination-oriented English subject,and enhance the comprehensive pragmatic ability and core competence of the primary and secondary school students in China.With the continuous deepening of educational reform,how to improve the effectiveness of English teaching and enhance students'interest in English learning has gradually become a hot research topic for scholars in the education field.Among them,exploring the use of game teaching methods in English classrooms is also receiving more and more attention from educators and teachers.Among the current study of English game teaching,the study of the effectiveness of games in junior middle school teaching is relatively rare.This study will explore the impact of game teaching methods on junior high school English classes from the perspective of case studies.As foreign language learning is a complex process,learners' foreign language learning behavior and foreign language achievement will be affected by many factors.This study will start with the motivation factor,and explore the feasibility and effectiveness of game teaching by studying the influence of game teaching on students'learning motivation.This paper will focus on the influence of game activities on the motivation of students' English learning,and use questionnaires,interviews and case studies as means to explore the impact of English game teaching on junior high school English classes.In the experiment process,the experimental class and the control class are set.The game teaching method is adopted in the experimental class,and the regular teaching method is adopted in the control class.After the experiment,the questionnaires and student interviews were conducted in two classes.The similarities and differences of learning motivation between the experimental class and the control class were compared to understand the feasibility and effectiveness of the game teaching.By comparing the questionnaire data of the experimental class and the control class,it can be seen that the learning motivation of the experimental class students is significantly higher than that of the control class,and the experimental class succeeded in conducting game teaching.Through student interviews,it is found that students' recognition and expectation of English classroom games are very high,thus proving the effectiveness of game teaching in junior high school English classes.The innovation of this paper lies in the fact that the research source is more than the theoretical literature,and it is more from the practice data of English games in the teaching classroom,which is more practical and more convincing.Of course,due to the limited experimental samples and time,this study also has certain limitations.The author will optimize the experimental means in the future,continue to explore how to effectively improve the effectiveness of the game in the English classroom,and truly reflect the value of the game in the English classroom.
