Study On The Performed Versions Of The Opera Aria "Porgi,Amor,Qualche Ristoro"

The opera Le Nozze di Figaro-The Marriage of Figaro is composed by Mozart,an Austrian composer.It is one of the most representative works among all his works composed by himself.In this opera,the aria "Porgi,amor,qualche ristoro"-"Grant,love,some comfort" is also the indispensable classic piece for a lyric soprano to perform during her learning process.This paper makes a comparative analysis based on the different performed versions of this aria by four sopranos,Lisa Della Casa,Gundula Janowitz,Kiri Te Kanawa and Elizabeth Schwarzkopf,who did splendid performances of Mozart's operas.It suggests that the vocal learner should find the most suitable version for her own from these four kinds of performing styles,as well as take into consideration her own voice conditions and emotional understanding,in order to perform this aria with individual personalities and characteristics.
