A Study On The Authenticity Of The Creation Of Microdocumentaries

Micro-documentary is the product of the new media era and a new style of documentary.Micro-documentary is a true record of the real people around the filmmakers,from the occurrence,development,climax to the end,intended to express some kind of ideological spirit,give people inspiration.Compared with traditional documentary filming,micro-documentary filming has its unique features,which are mainly manifested in the selection of materials,the length of the film,the depth of the content and the threshold of creation.The progress of the times and the development of technology have lowered the entry threshold of micro-documentaries,making everyone a filmmaker of micro-documentaries.The generalization of the filmmakers leads to the unlimited broadening of the shooting perspective,and to a certain extent,broadens the scope of material selection for micro-documentary filming.It can be imagined that in such a situation that the filmmakers,shooting subjects and shooting equipment are all arbitrary,the micro-documentaries must show their own characteristics because of the unique habits of the filmmakers,one of the most prominent manifestations is the inconsistency of the length of the film.In addition,the level of filmmakers is uneven,the shooting perspective is varied,and the length of filming works varies.As a result,the flourishing micro-documentary market can not be guaranteed in terms of content depth or quality.Truth is the essence of micro-documentary and the foundation of its existence.For audiences,the greatest attraction of micro-documentaries lies in the fact that not only characters and events are real,but also in time,space and details.However,due to the characteristics of micro-documentaries,it is difficult to maintain the authenticity of micro-documentaries.In the process of micro-documentary filming,the complex sound,light and environment conditions,the irrepeatability of the shooting events and the limited narrative time may affect the authenticity of the final micro-documentary.Therefore,in order to achieve the authenticity of micro-documentary shooting,we should start with the following points: first,we should fully understand the situation of the subject,especially the main characters and the main shooting environment in advance;second,we should enrich the perspective used in shooting,and show the personality and events of the subject in multi-level and multi-directional ways;finally,we should pay attention to the shooting process.It is also helpful to keep the theme of shooting consistent.This paper attempts to explain the specific process of the creation of micro-documentaries through the author's graduation work "He Behind the Lens",taking the problems and difficulties he encountered in the process of the creation of micro-documentaries as an example.And use their own experience to summarize thedifficulties and ways of realizing the authenticity of micro-documentaries,and form experience.
