In recent years,with the increasing demand for secondary vocational education talents,English level has become an important criterion for measuring secondary vocational education talents.Traditional English teaching is teacher-centered,students are in a passive state,students are not interested in English learning,English proficiency is difficult to improve,therefore,the teaching method of group cooperative learning has attracted the attention of secondary vocational English teachers.The teaching method of group cooperative learning,which takes the learning group as the unit and completes the learning task with the help of the teachers,is very helpful to improve the students’ English learning level and interest.Many facts have proved that the current experimental and Research on the teaching method of bisected cooperative learning in China mainly focuses on the basic education stage,and there is still a slight lack of research on the teaching method of bisected cooperative learning in Vocational English teaching.In order to prove that teaching method of group cooperative learning in Vocational English classroom teaching is effective,this study analyzes the concept of group cooperative learning,research status and theoretical basis,and uses questionnaires,interviews and tests to carry out research.The author chooses two classes in a secondary vocational school whose English proficiency is basically equivalent to each other to carry out the teaching experiment.The teaching methods of group cooperative learning and traditional teaching are adopted respectively.In order to find the changes of experimental data,the author conducted academic tests and questionnaires in two classes before the experiment.During the experiment,the mid-term academic test was conducted to track the experimental results.At the end of the semester,the students in the experimental class were found to be significantly better than those in the other class in terms of academic performance,interest and attitude,reflecting the benefits of group cooperative learning.The author also interviewed the students in the experimental class,and the interview results further consolidated this conclusion.
