This thesis takes the spatial narration of Lin Bai's novels as the research object,and discusses it from four aspects,in addition to the introduction and conclusion.In the first part of the introduction,this thesis proposes the topic basis,summarizes the research status of Lin Bai's novels,points out the innovation of this thesis and the expected problems to be solved,and explains the research methods.The first chapter summarizes the spatial types in Lin Bai's novels,starting from the two aspects of solid space and illusory space,and divides the solid space into combination space and single space,while illusory space focuses on the analysis of the role of smell in spatial construction.This thesis points out the unique position of space narration in Lin Bai's novels and expounds its unique value in shaping characters and promoting the development of plots through the concrete influence of real space and illusory space on the formation of novel style.Chapter two interprets the relationship between time and space in Lin Bai's novels.This chapter mainly analyzes the time character of space and spatial treatment of time in Lin Bai's novels,taking Sha jie and Hong Lou as research objects.Based on the same time period,the novels "silence and fragrance" and "to 1975" tell the history of Sha jie from two different perspectives,highlighting the temporal characteristics of space.The first section of this chapter,based on the novels "silence and fragrance" and "to 1975",first analyzes the typicality of Sha jie,and then interprets the characteristics of Sha jie given by time,to show the ages and record the marks of The Times.The second section interprets the long novel the war of one man and the novella the chair in the cloisters,focusing on the analysis of the recurring space in the two novels--Hong lou.First,the symbolic tendency of the red building is interpreted to understand the symbiosis and background effect of nested narration on the novel text.Then through the past and present life of Hong lou,focusing on the analysis of the spatial expression of time,feeling the life consciousness contained therein.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the spatial narrative means of Lin Bai's novels.Firstly,the juxtaposition of themes and spatial transformation are used many times in the novel,which greatly clears the context of the writing and broadens the story space.Then in the performance of the character also frequent use of space representation method,the character fate of the character and space linked,given the character of the space.In addition,in Lin Bai's novels,the use of color is also an important spatial narrative means.With rich color and language expression ability,it presents many vivid images to readers and brings them strong visual stimulation.Chapter four interprets the cultural features of Lin Bai's novels as a whole.The spatial narration of Lin Bai's novels as a whole presents regional,gendered and poetic cultural features.In combination with Lin Bai's personal experience to interpret the transformation of the spatial reference of "hometown" before and after the novel,and to understand its role in the formation of the style of Lin Bai's novels.Through the process of constructing the space of Lin Bai's novels,we can feel the living state and social status of women through the use of feminine color images and the almost planar male space in the novels.By examining the poetic framework of her novel form and the leaping linguistic features,this paper tries to understand Lin Bai's understanding of life and death and the kernel of "flying".The last part discusses the status of Lin Bai's novels in the history of Chinese contemporary literature and points out the shortcomings of her novels.
