A Preliminary Study Of The Delivery Institute In The Early Ming Dynasty

As an important transport institution in the Ming Dynasty,the post office,which originated in the Ming Dynasty,was also called the three major post offices in the Ming Dynasty,and played an important role in the economic,political and cultural development of the feudal dynasty in the Ming Dynasty.Although the academic circles are involved in this aspect,they mostly focus on the overall study of the post delivery system and lack the specialized research of the post delivery institute.This topic still has further research space.This paper svstematically discusses the establishment background,operation management and functions of the post delivery institute.This paper compares the three major post offices in the Ming Dynasty and explores their differences and connections.Delivery centers are distributed all over the country.They are not only in areas with large traffic and large demand for transportation,but also in areas with rugged terrain and inconvenient traffic,which greatly facilitates transportation.This paper also makes a thorough inquiry into the functions of deliveiy centers.Apart from the well-known transport functions,we find that the relationship between delivery centers and health centers is closely related in military conditions.In critical areas,the first place to set up is the delivery center.At the same time,it also undertakes a series of functions,such as flood control,herbage storage,engineering construction,foreign exchanges and so on.At the same time,the article also elaborates on the three reforms of the post delivery svstem.With the change of the political environment,the post offices have been cut down again and again,and some of them have been merged with the post stations.Among them,the article explores the daily operation of the delivery center as an impoitant content,including the central management,local management,transportation tools,personnel settings,layouts and delivery agents.Through the recognition of each element,the article expands our understanding of the daily operation of the delivery center.The economic base decides the superstructure,and the existence and development of state institutions are always restricted by the economic and political development of the whole Ming Dynasty.In the study of the development and evolution of transport offices,we always need to pay attention to the impact of the changes in the political and economic environment of the Ming Dynasty.
