Speech production includes three stages:conceptualization, speech organization and pronunciation.Phonological encoding is an important part of the speech organization stage. It refers to selecting and syllabizing segments and rhythmic structures according to morchemes, and connecting segments with syllable nodes in rhythmic structures.Phonological encoding level has always been a problem that psycholinguists pay close attention to.Most speech production models assume that sentences are processed from left to right, and the speaker does not need to encode a complete sentence to begin to pronounce. The hierarchical activation hypothesis is even more specific. The phonological encoding of information is also gradually progressive according to the position of a unit(phoneme, syllable, word, etc.)before the beginning of pronunciation. However, there is still a debate about the size of this unit, which may be related to language characteristics. In addition, the unit size of hierarchical activation affects people's verbal expression ability. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the development of this unit size for the improvement and cultivation of verbal expression ability. This paper will use the graph-word interference paradigm to explore the hierarchical activation unit of phonemic coding in middle school students' speech production and its influence on speech fluency through comparison with college students.Experiment 1 to explore college students and middle school students in generating units in the noun phrase level when activated size, found inconsistent naming trend of the incubation period for middle school and college students, college students in the first term on the voice promote edge effect significantly, showed that the effect with noun phrases hierarchy activation unit may be extended to the whole pair of words.Middle school students did not have phonological enhancement on the first and last words of the first noun, indicating that middle school students did not activate the first noun steadily before beginning to pronounce. After subdividing the results of middle school students,it was found that high fluency middle school students had phonetic facilitation effect on the first word of the first noun, indicating that middle school studenis had great individual differences in the hierarchical activation unit, and only the high fluency group reached the syllabic hierarchical activation. In experiment 2,the use of one of the same material with the experiment, test students named a single picture with the hierarchy of the activation cell, the results found on the acronym of two-character words voice promoting effect significantly,on the last letter, show that in Chinese adults have the level of individual words activated units as the syllable, the consistent and predecessors'studying results. Therefore, this paper comes to the following conclusions:Firstly, junior middle school students and college students are not consistent in the hierarchical activation unit of phonological encoding in phrase generation.Only the junior high school students with high speech fluency are the first syllable, and the junior high school students' unit is probably the first noun.Secondly, the hierarchical activated units of phonological encoding are variable, the units of college students in lexical production are atonal syllables, and the units in the production of juxtaposed noun phrases are likely to be the first nouns.
