The late Ming dynasty was an important stage in the development of Chinese figure painting.Chen hongshou is the leader of figure painting in this period.He made bold innovations on the basis of inheriting tradition and wrote a new chapter of figure painting.Chen hongshou's paintings had a great influence at that time,enjoying a good reputation at home and abroad,among which the influence on Japanese ukiyo-e painting was particularly profound.As one of the most influential ukiyo-e painters in the late edo period,Japanese painter Utagawa Kuniyoshi's figure painting reflects the influence of Chen hongshou and traditional Chinese figure painting,the intervention of western painting and the inheritance of local culture.Chen hongshou and Utagawa Kuniyoshi are many similarities in artistic form,and due to the different soil and cultural context,the figure painting presents their own artistic features.Article through to the analysis and comparison of the two,combined with the era background,aesthetics,history and other related disciplines,and make a detailed analysis of the painting art of the two,exploring the aesthetic ideal of the picture,analysis of the reasons for the difference between the two in the same painting theme,and compares them from painting performance forms.
