Study On Hongwu Glazed Red Porcelain In Ming Dynasty

Ming Hongwu(1368-1398)experienced 31 years in one dynasty.And just after the war disaster,the porcelain making industry in Jingdezhen has been restored and developed during this period.The appearance of porcelain has both the thick and heavy relics of the Yuan Dynasty and the unique characteristics of Hongwu kiln porcelain.The number possession of red porcelain in Hongwu glaze has been greatly exceeded blue and white porcelain.Basically represents the features of Hongwu porcelain industry in Jingdezhen.But so far,scholars who studied the glazed red porcelains in Hongwu Period were relatively few.Most of them are based on the overall porcelain appearance during Hongwu Period.So there are many problems in the appearance of red porcelain.Like what are the specific types of red in Hongwu glazed red porcelain,there is no clear conclusion in its stage,and the specific use of glazed red at this stage,etc.Based on previous studies,this article aims at the above problems,through excavation of related tombs,ruins and kiln sites and collection of museum materials,combined with relevant literature,to get the possible establish time of the Royal kiln factory.Based on the data unearthed from the Royal kiln factory,combined with the establishment time of imperial kiln plant,and use the phased study glazed red in Hongwu Period by typology method,to obtain the characteristics of Hongwu glazed red staging boundary and early and late stages.As well as preliminarily analyzed the purposes of Hongwu glaze red and its causes.Thus,make a special study on glazed red porcelain in Hongwu.
