Disenchantment And Reenchantment

Since the establishment of the "Under the Banyan Tree" website in 1997,online literature has developed rapidly.Among them,the number of online novels has been growing rapidly in 20 years,and the content of the story has also expanded to various fields of traditional novel creation.In these online novels,there are a large number of works that use myths as the main story background and even create new myths in the novel.At the time of the author's creation,the sacredness and ritual sense of the myth itself were unconsciously consumed.Instead,the modern people who lacked piety re-written the traditional myth.Here,we use the concept of "disenchantment" by Max Weber to describe this phenomenon.In the process of modernization,due to the advancement of technology and knowledge,it has led to the rationalization and secularization of human society.When the author created the world of the pen,he was influenced by the old myth and a new myth.In the online novels,even the mythological symbiosis of different nationalities and different eras has emerged.However,the myths that appear in online novels are by no means purely "disenchant" writing.The emergence of these myths in the novel actually creates a literary field that is far from the modernity of rationality-led thinking.The realization of the "reenchantment" process of online novels."Re-enchantment" is a term that extends from "disenchantment".Compared with the "disenchantment","Reenchantment" recognizes the organic integrity of nature.Theism and organicism have become the soil on which the "reenchantment" depends.Elements such as mythology and religion frequently appear in online novels and are appreciated by readers.This article is divided into five parts.The first part briefly combs the relationship between myth and network fantasy,and the application of the two concepts of disenchantment and complex charm in literary studies.The second part analyzes the social background of the mythical writing of the network fantasy novel.In contemporary society where faith is facing difficulties,the authors of online fantasy novels inherit the tradition of Chinese literary creation.With the development of network technology,they use myths in their own novels driven by business models.The third part mainly analyzes the coexistence of mythological images,cross-regional myths and the myths of online authors,and analyzes the disenchantment of myths in online fantasy novels.The fourth part mainly analyzes the reenchantment phenomenon of myth in the network fantasy novel from the perspectives of mythological archetype,mythological aesthetic and mythological narrative.The fifth part is based on the above content,and analyzes the myths in the network fantasy novels and the mythological inheritance of contemporary society.Mythological research on microblogging,mythology,film and video games and video games has emerged,but the mythological research in online fantasy novels is not deep.It is true that these new mythological presentations have a certain influence.But with the different media,they have different ways of presenting myths,and their own characteristics are more obvious.As we study these methods,it is important to note that the presentation in one medium may not be applicable in another.In the research,it must be combined with the characteristics of the media,in order to more accurately analyze the current mythological inheritance and reconstruction.Here,this thesis focuses on the special literary type of network fantasy novels,combining the social background generated by online novels,its own business model and author writing characteristics,and studies the myths appearing in the network fantasy novels.
