The Mapping For The Clean And Dirty Metaphor Of The Moral Concepts:Bidirectional And Unbalanced

Physical experience affects individual moral judgment through metaphorical mapping.Previous researches on the directivity of metaphorical mapping mainly have the following views:Previous studies on the directivity of metaphorical mapping mainly have the following views:first,metaphor was one-way;The second is that metaphor has bidirectivity,and the source and target domains of metaphor can be mapped to each other;and the metaphorical mapping is unbalanced.In view of this,the present study adopts the separated spatial Stroop paradigm to explore the bidirectionality and imbalance of the metaphorical mapping of moral concepts.Here were two researches.Experiment1 is to discuss psychological reality.Experiment la explores the mapping of moral concept of clean dirty metaphor from source domain to target domain.Experiment lb studies the mapping from target to norigin.Experiment 2 explores the imbalance of metaphorical mapping of moral concepts on the basis of experiment 1.Experiment 2a investigates the ratio of neutral emotional face moral judgment under the condition of net irritation,and experiment 2b studies the ratio of neutral emotional face net dirty judgment under the condition of moral word priming.(1)The Moral Concepts was bidirectional.Behavioral data suggest that there are metaphorical connections between "clean and moral","filthy and unehical".After processing clean picture,the reaction to moral word was faster than that to immoral word,but after processing dirty picture,the reaction to immoral word was faster than to moral word,and after moral word,the reaction to clean picture was faster than to dirty picture.After processing immoral words,it is faster to react to dirty pictures than to clean ones.The results of EEG data processing show that the difference waves of P200,P300 and N400 in the metaphorical inconsistent condition and the metaphorical consistent condition show some differences.(2)The Mapping for the Moral Concepts is unbalanced.There was no obvious diversity in the moral judgment of neutral emotional faces between the clean and dirty stimuli.There was a obvious diversity between the moral words and the immoral words in the clean judgment of the neutral emotional faces.The neutral faces in the moral words tend to be clean,while those in the immoral word tend to be dirty.In summary,the Clean and Dirty Metaphor of the Moral Concepts is bidirectional and unbalanced.This research provides practical reference for the intervention and education of moral cognition or moral behavior.
