Influencing Factors Of Empathy In DBD Children

There are three researches in this study.Research 1 has three experiments,setting up gender distance condition,age distance condition and psychological substitution training to explore the empathy level in DBD children.Research 2 contains one experiment(Experiment 4),which is to explore the influence of micro expression recognition training on empathy in DBD children.Research 3 has one experiment(Experiment 5),in which situation type condition is set up to investigate its effects on the empathy in DBD children.Experiment 1 found that DBD children have weaker affective empathy level than normal control under all experimental conditions.However,they have better cognitive empathy than normal control,which shows an empathy separation.Gender distance has effects on the empathy in DBD children.They have more empathy response for people of the same sex than those with of the opposite sex.Experiment 2 showed that age distance affects the empathy level in DBD children,the closer the age distance between DBD children and their empathetic targets,the higher the empathy level they have for their targets.Experiment 3 found that psychological substitution training significantly improves the affective empathy level in DBD children,but not cognitive empathy level.Experiment 4 showed that micro expression recognition training promotes the affective empathy level in DBD children,but not cognitive empathy level.Experiment 5 found that situation type has influence on the empathy in DBD children.They have lower affective empathy level in anger situation than in fear and shame situations.Conclusions of the study are as follows:Compared to normal control,the affective empathy level in DBD children is lower.Psychological distance has influence on the empathy level in DBD children.Under gender distance condition,DBD children have less empathy response for people who are of the same sex than those are of the opposite sex.Under age distance condition,DBD children have more empathy response for people who are closer to their age than those who have a larger age gap.Both psychological substitution training and micro expression recognition training can significantly improve the affective empathy level in DBD children.Situation type plays a role in the empathy level in DBD children.They have weaker empathy response in anger situation than in fear and shame situation.
