Chinese traditional pattern is an important part of Chinese culture.It integrates Chinese ideas,aesthetic interests,folk customs,and customs.It has experienced the accumulation of thousands of years and the baptism of ancient civilizations.As a typical representative of traditional Chinese patterns,the curling grass pattern can reveal the blend of traditional Chinese culture and foreign culture during its long development and evolution.Its artistic value is an indispensable part of traditional Chinese culture.The style of curling grass has distinctive characteristics and unique rhythm,and its structural inclusiveness makes it possible to change its decorative theme with the times,which has research and reference significance.The author defines the concept and origin of curling pattern by collecting and collating the data of curling pattern,and analyzes the typical patterns of different dynasties from the characteristics of constituent elements,modeling characteristics and artistic styles.After analyzing and summarizing,the traditional decorative pattern was selected for the whole development period,and the three-dimensional application expression was carried out after the image of the artistic characteristics of the curling pattern was extracted.The classical representative traditional pattern is chosen to carry on the inheritance,to express a reverence for the great culture created by the ancient people’s life,and to try new exploration from the decorative forms and application methods,in order to find the aesthetic orientation of the contemporary people in thecontext of the new era.In the end,through the creation and practice of "The Desire for Life" series of works,a new attempt was made to preserve the heritage of the traditional pattern culture,the function of inheriting the classic style of the cursive pattern and the function of plane decoration.It also makes a new attempt to explore the image expression of its three-dimensional pattern,and provides a reference for changing its auxiliary function in traditional Chinese patterns.
