In this dissertation,the jade Bi with curls pattern is the main object of study.Sortingthe " involute form" and the other images called "curls pattern" on the jade Bi,and findsa phenomenon that the two are intertwined between"name and reality".In the past,thestudy of the curls pattern on the jade Bi was mostly regarded as the simplification of thedragon pattern,cloud pattern,or other ornamentation.However,there was no attempt toknow the rules and principles of the curls pattern on the jade Bi.On this basis,the authoralso observed the jade Bi with curls pattern on the graveyards of the Shangwang Villageand the Fanjia Village,and discovered that the curls pattern on the two tombs had strict decorative rules and design principles.Based on the difference in curls pattern direction,this dissertation classifies the jade Bi with curls pattern of Shangwang Village Cemetery and Fanjia Village cemetery.andfinds the jade Bi with curls pattern has decorative rules with single,two,or four repeatingunits.In addition,according to the relative relationship between curls pattern,the wholedecoration on the jade Bi can be divided into four types:single block,two blocks,threeblocks and six blocks.Based on the rules and the characteristics of the units,this dissertation discusses themaking process of the jade Bi with curls pattern at that time.According to the similaritiesand differences between each unit,the original manuscript used at that time was furtherrestored.The purpose of this dissertation is to explain the decorative rules and designprinciples in the complex decorations of the jade Bi with curls pattern.And hope thatthrough the discovery of this dissertation,explore the relationship between images and vision.
