Soseki Natsume(1867-1916)was one of the most important modern Japanese writers in moder Japan. He is hailed as "the great master of Japanese literature," and He is a responsible and conscientious person in the society. The late trilogy "After The Spring Equinox","The Pedestrian" and " The Heart" is the deepening of the ethical theme of the meteorite literature. He deeply penetrates the inside of the characters from a unique perspective, and depicts the spiritual dilemmas that modern Japanese intellectuals generally face in ethical relations, and expresses the deep concern of the survival of the meteorites. On the basis of text perusal, this thesis presents the different ethical dilemmas of the main characters of the post trilogy, discusses its causes and ethical choices, and then explores the ethical value of the novel.Firstly, the author analyzes the ethical dilemma of the characters in the post trilogy. The three protagonists present the mental state of confusion, doubt and loneliness to varying degrees, and are deeply troubled in the ethical identity, marriage and love relationship and personal experience.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons why the characters are in trouble. The double values of the Meiji era make the three protagonists unable to balance the relationship in the face of difficulties;the self-consciousness awakened by the civilized culture, from the self to others,to the blood relationship,The existing ethical order and self-awareness are too strong to re-recognize and reflect;the modern self of anxiety recognizes the influence of the other on the self through the confirmation of the subject, and the influence of the intervention of Western culture on the Japanese ethical order. Finally, the ethical choice of the characters is discussed. The three protagonists make ethical choices of closeness and alienation,self-interest and dislike in the ethical dilemma. Then the ethical choice of the day and the ethical choice of the suicide of the suicide, express the author's ethical appeal, reconcile the self in nature, and remove the lusts;at the same time, express the return of the spirit of salvation in the form of a suicide note, warning to the people of later generations, using ethics Ethical self, correctly handle the relationship between self and others. The conclusion is the interpretation of the value of Natsume Soseki's ethical theme.Soseki Natsume, with a keen eye,saw the hazard of Japanese society's blind worship of foreign things, and changed the perspective from criticize to appreciating the human heart.Only by maintaining rational morality and paying attention to the ethical order, can the Japanese people, whose "heart is hidden by dust",become modernization and promote themselves.Soseki's Natsume emphasis on ethics wins him much more accomplishment than other writers.
