Beatbox is an elements of hip-hop culture,a music culture in which the human voice imitates the sounds of various Musical instruments.With the rise of social multi-culture,this kind of hip-hop culture with the main label of youth,fashion and cool is favored by more and more young people,its group size is also gradually expanding.The author of this paper has paid close attention to the development of this group for a long time,and there are few studies on the hip-hop subculture group in the domestic academia at present.For the above reasons,this paper takes the beatbox group in Chengdu as an example,and uses the research methods of participant observation and in-depth interview to summarize the subculture style of hip-hop group,explore the group identification process of members of the hip-hop subculture from the perspective of subculture and group identity,find out the problems that adolescents may have in the process of group identification,analyze the causes of the problems from the theoretical perspective of social work,and put forward suggestions for intervention.This paper consists of five chapters,the first chapter mainly introduces the origin and significance of the subject,and summarizes the domestic and foreign research results from subculture,hip-hop culture,group identity three aspects.The second chapter is the research design part,mainly introduce the theoretical basis,research content and research methods.The third chapter is the foreshadowing part of the article,according to Phil Cohen's interpretation of the three constituent elements of subculture style,this chapter makes a brief description of the subculture style of the hip-hop group from the three aspects of group language,costume,interaction.The fourth chapter is the main part of the article,with the theory of group identity as the analyze framework,this chapter discusses the process of group identification from self-classification to social comparison to identity maintenance and enhancement.First of all,in the self-classification stage,through making friends in groups,joining small groups,joining online chat groups and other ways to enter the group door.And by accepting and using group language,imitating the dressing of the representative group image and participating in the activities related to the group,to increase the similarity between individuals and other group members,and complete self-categorization.Secondly,the social comparison stage is mainly divided into inter-group comparison and intra-group comparison.In inter-group comparison,individuals gain higher self-identity and self-esteem by making positive evaluation of the inner group;in intra-group comparison,individuals find their accurate positioning and specificity in the group.Finally,in the stage of identity maintenance and enhancement,the following of group elites and individual idols,the improvement of individual ability,the regulation of group behavior and improvement of group image are adopted to maintain and strengthen the sense of belonging and identity of individuals to the group.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and discussion part of this paper.On the basis of the foregoing,this chapter further summarizes the group identity process of the members of hip-hop subculture,discusses the ways to guide teenagers to rationally identify with hip-hop culture from the theoretical perspective of social work,and analyzes the social value of hip-hop subculture and the future research direction.
