Study On Pilgrims To Heng Shan In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Hengshan belief is the god of hengshan folk of the southern yue emperor belief.It has a long history of belief,from the primitive worship of mountain god to the national worship of god in the tang and song dynasties,it completed the process of personification,civilian.In the tang and song dynasties,the folk "nanyue temple fair" appeared and became mature.Coupled with the continuous spread of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,the belief in the holy emperor reached its peak in the Ming and qing dynasties.At the same time,the prefectures and counties have generally established the south yue temple,hengshan as the emperor of the mountain is also respected,attracting pilgrims from all over the country,became one of the holy land of incense.During the Ming and qing dynasties,with the establishment of the southern yue temple in the country,hengshan culture in the country's spread,hengshan in the famous mountains and rivers in the status of the increasingly prominent.People in different areas of the scrambled to hengshan dachaoshan pilgrimages,they want desire fame or riches and honour,and grandchildren,live long and proper,or coining money,decline demon in addition to magic,eliminate the evil to disease,the relationship between all aspects of people's life,however,due to ShengDi divine and hengshan ethics of Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism,praying for countries,child life constitutes the characteristics of hengshan pilgrimages,etc.From the perspective of the scale and influence of zhaoshan,the pilgrims of the Ming and qing dynasties took hunan as the centerand expanded to hubei,jiangxi,guangdong,zhejiang,jiangsu,Beijing,henan and other provinces.They gathered from all directions in the southern yue,hengshan summit,opened up a well-connected road towards the incense.In addition,hengshan to visit the believers or hengshan local natural scenery or religious worship,not only led to the rapid development of regional economy,but also on the dissemination of regional culture and national management of local society had an important impact.This study mainly includes the following aspects: hengshan dynasty incense folk history,Ming and qing dynasties hengshan incense route investigation,hengshan pilgrims geographical distribution and pilgrims to the purpose and impact of the incense hengshan.
