Poliomyelitis is an acute infectious disease which will easily cause permanent disability or even threaten one's life.In year 1988,350,000 cases occurred around the world.Around 1988 poliomyelitis raged a small town in Shandong,which impaired millions of children's health.Now most of them have graduated from universities and entered the society.Like us,20 years old or so,career,marriage,family…become different.Their life focus and direction also changed in their ages.The protagonist JiaYuanyuan in this documentary is one of these children who got polio.She is 26 years old who not only finished her university with overcoming physical difficulties but also started her career as an online writer.In the autumn of this year,she spent three days climbing to the top of the Mountain Tai.Although she was not born in a rich family and her parents are getting older,she never gives up her dream of being a writer.Staying in the corner of her quite dim bedroom,she writes stories of prince and princess,composes ghost mythologies,compiles widely travelled swordsman and all kinds of colorful and fantastic life stories.Internet connects herself and that literature world.She magically creates another fresh life in her spiritual world.This documentary shows not only Yuanyuan's strong optimistic character & indomitable spirit,but also intends to arouse people's attention to care about this group.They need more respect and understanding.In regards to the content,the documentary,focusing on the ordinary but extraordinary person and a smart 26-year-old girl,makes the figures more solid and full.From the perspective of the form,this documentary shows the protagonist's real and ideal life via alternate use of narration and internal monologue.About the technique,this documentary aims at researching the practice of shooting emergencies,using details to deepen the subject,setting “suspense” to develop the mainline and the plot.Finally,a mature works which tells the life and the personality of poliomyelitis patients was created as result.
