The Creative Research On The Youth Film

After 2013,youth films began to emerge in large numbers which became a wave of youth oriented in the contemporary film market.According to the themes of domestic films in recent eight years,youth films mostly take schools as the main narrative space and take love as the main narrative clues.The purpose is to express the nostalgic emotional appeal of present adults with the main form of double space-time of past and present narration.The reason that youth films can get a good box-office and reputation because of the superior production and the common emotional appeal of audiences.Youth films always take the growth process and life experience of the young as the theme.More or less,we can see the epitome and get the resonance from the film.In this paper,I focus on the box-office and numbers of youth films from 2010 to 2017 to find the universality and weakness of these films.The universals are love theme,nostalgic feeling,original music and beautiful picture.The weaknesses are similar plot,incoherent structure and skewed value.On the other side,I take the self-made youth film "Drowned hippo" as example to analyze the theme expression,narrative strategy and audio-visual language from the angle of creation.
