Denmark,one of the five Nordic countries,with a population of 5 million,enjoys great reputation on industry design and film art movements.The temperate marine climate makes the people unique feature and at the same time offers Danish art unique styles.Danish Film Institute works as the top organization allocates big amount of budget on domestic cinema.Led by Lars Von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg,Dogma95film movement declared a series of firm principles in 1995,which shocked the global cinema.However,Danish cinema after 2000 has moved towards a marketization and a categorization,which shows a separation from Dogma95.Nonetheless the theme of humanity and the documentary Cinematographer Style were maintained.Danish film artworks have received plenty of awards from film festivals including Berlin International Film Festival,Cannes Film Festival and Oscar.Domestic films are very popular to the domestic audience and always rank ahead foreign ones on the list of admission.The first chapter of this article will analyze the political support as well as the commercial and genre development.The second and third chapter talks about the relation between cinema of 21st century and of Dogma95 period,the geographical background,together with the links between Danish industry design and film art.The last chapter discusses the new development on genres,film series and adaptations.This article concludes the relations among geography,design art style and feature films so that we receive a bigger picture on Danish cinema.On the other side,a data statistics will be given about domestic film market to know how a commercial development is achieved as long as audiences'artistic taste has been changing from time to time.
