Corpus-based Analysis Of "V Bu Shang" Structure And The Structural Meaning

Based on the 14,967 corpus of "V BU SHANG" structure in the CCL corpus of Peking University,combined with the Conceptual Blending Theory,this paper does a semantic analysis of the "V BU SHANG"structure."V BU SHANG" structure belongs to the potential complements negative structure "V BU C",and its structural meaning not simply add the meaning of "V","SHANG" and "BU" together,but integrate these"elements" under the "framework",then generates "Emergent meaning".We analysis the syntactic and semantic features of "V","SHANG","the object" of "V BU SHANG",and we deem that the blending degree of "V BU SHANG" can be distinguished into A-E five levels.The corpus statistics show that the blending degree of the "V BU SHANG" structure is mainly at the Level(middle),Level(sub-high),and Level(high).The "V BU SHANG3" structure is at the transitional stage of "V BU SHANG"structure's blending,and "V in the "V BU SHANG3" has the largest number of words.The "V BU SHANG4" structure has the highest frequency of use.The "V BU SHANG5" cannot be decomposed and its structure object is mainly predicate object."V" in the "V BU SHANG5"structure has the least number of types,but every "V" in the "V BU SHANG5" structure has high frequency of use.The structural meaning of "V BU SHANG" structure mainly includes three categories:"Impossible to achieve a certain displacement or result",which represents the typical "Impossible" meaning;"'impossibility 'of speakers' judgment",and it's the speaker's judgment based on the objective conditions of the objects described;does not mean"Impossibility",and the whole meaning is idiomatic.In general,the "V BU SHANG" structure is a kind of narrative expression,and the typical characteristic of the structural meaning of "V BU SHANG" is its objectivity.
