With the improvement of China's international status,more and more foreign students are studying Chinese in China,but cross-cultural adaptation is a problem they have long been difficult to solve.The quality of cross-cultural adaptation of international students will directly affect their learning and life in different countries.Individuals entering the unfamiliar cultural environment will feel the "cultural shock" and appear to be unsuitable.China and Sudan have different cultural backgrounds.Sudanese students coming to China will encounter a series of problems.How to carry out cross-cultural adaptation,how to solve problems arising from different cultures,and how to improve their cross-cultural adaptability.Through the survey results,the author finds that Sudanese students face many problems and difficulties arising from cross-cultural adaptation in China.For example,students from the University of Khartoum and Confucius Institutes in the study abroad have studied the difficulties faced by these students in cross-cultural adaptation through questionnaires and interviews.The difficulties in intercultural adaptation of Sudanese students include: living environment,Climate habits,eating habits,transportation methods,etc.The factors that affect the adaptation of the learning environment include: campus environment,classroom adaptation,learning pressure,and study abroad management.The factors affecting interpersonal communication mainly include: cultural differences in communication and personal personality.The factors affecting psychological adaptation include: gender factors,age factors,learning motivation factors,and time factors.This article explores the four aspects of living environment,learning environment,interpersonal communication and psychological adaptation to find out the reasons for the difficulties of Sudanese students.Finally,according to the difficulties that students have in common,the author proposes to guide them from the university level and the individual level as well as some specific related suggestions,such as: International students should have the principle of respect and understanding principles.The authorhopes that the Sudanese students who come to China through these suggestions can better adapt to Chinese culture and their cross-cultural adaptability can be further improved.
