Research On Sun Ying-ao's Thought And Political Activities

Sun Ying-ao was a well-known Ming Dynasty Qingping Weiren in Guizhou Province.He was also an outstanding educator and thinker in Ming Dynasty.Scholars called him "Mr.Huaihai".Mo Youzhi called him "Confucianism as the world's leading figure since Guizhou Province was founded,that is to say,the articles of Ci are not comparable to those of Mr.The author mainly elaborates Sun Ying-ao's thoughts and political activities from the following four parts:In the first part,Sun Yingao,who came from the "King's Gate in Central Guizhou",is discussed.This paper briefly summarizes Yangming's theory of mind in the Ming Dynasty,and then elaborates on the important representatives of the "Wang Men of Central Guizhou" in the Ming Dynasty,including Sun Yingao.The second part mainly elaborates Sun Ying-ao's thought of psychology.Firstly,he talks about the ontology of mind and points out that the most important feature of mind and body is "righteousness".Secondly,his theory of mind inherited the tradition of Confucius and Mencius,releasing people with benevolence,and releasing benevolence with heart.And "seeking benevolence is Zong" is his true and exact expression of "benevolence is heart".Thirdly,he also interprets "to conscience","to knowledge through material" and "to the unity of knowledge and practice".Finally,Sun Ying-ao's interpretation of Yi is mainly divided into "understanding Yi with heart" and "conscience is Yi",and he has four volumes of "Huaihai Yi Tan".To some extent,he developed Yangming's theory of mind.The third part elaborates Sun Ying'ao's political activities in Jiangxi,Shaanxi,Sichuan,Hubei and Beijing Normal University.During the period of Jiangxi,he defeated thieves and liberated refugees;served as a deputy envoy of education in Shaanxi Province and devoted himself to the development of education;during the period of Hubei Province,he appealed to the emperor for tax reduction and exemption for the people of Guanghua and other counties,and actively invited the emperor to grant him the title of military affairs supervisor and military reserve for Yunyang;during the period of the Beijing Normal University,he vigorously rectified the Imperial College,and the Emperor Wanli suspended the case of assisting students to the Imperial College.The fourth part discusses Sun Yingao's psychological characteristics embodied in his activities of governing the world with Confucianism.There are mainly two aspects: one is to "educate the government based on education".Sun Ying-ao serves in Shaanxi Province,educating students and scholars,opening up regular academies and giving lectures,especially focusing on education.The second is "for the government and for the people".Sun Ying-ao proposed to treat the people with benevolence,to implement good governance,benevolent government,and to give priority to the people.By discussing Sun Ying-ao's political activities,it is concluded that his political life is characterized by Confucianism.Summarizing his experience and lessons of governing the world for officials will help us understand the overall outlook of Wang Xue in central Guizhou.
