The Writing Of Loneliness In Anonymity

Wang Anyi is a contemporary Chinese female writer with a strong temperament of loneliness.Loneliness writing has always been an important part of her literary creation.Wang Anyi’s latest masterpiece,Anonymity,describes loneliness in detail,showing a clear vanguard posture,turning from realistic social writing to exploration in the field of life and spirit,turning from realism to fiction,thinking about profound metaphysical problems,paying attention to human loneliness with compassion,and expressing a strong sense of loneliness and atmosphere with the narrative strategy of strengthening loneliness.This paper studies Anonymity from the perspective of loneliness writing,explores the characteristics and significance of loneliness in the works,and analyses the concern and reflection of the lonely writing of Anonymity on people’s spiritual world and current value,with a view to forming a new understanding of Wang Anyi’s literary creation.This paper holds that the loneliness highlighted in Anonymity points to the essence and significance of human beings.It is a state of existence with spiritual independence,freedom,self-uniqueness and individuality,an embodiment and proof of individual existence,and a determination of self.This loneliness is related to infinity,vastness,eternity,tolerance,freedom and meaning,to individual’s abundant sensibility and insight,and to peace,tranquility and beauty.On this basis,this paper is divided into three parts: the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introduction explains the status quo of Anonymity,the reason and significance of the topic selection,the outline of loneliness research and the thinking and structure of the paper.The text discusses the lonely text presentation in Anonymity,the narrative art of lonely writing in Anonymity and the significance and value of lonely writing in Anonymity.This paper explores the expression of loneliness in Anonymity through close reading of the text,combs the loneliness and its characteristics in the works,and analyses its loneliness characteristics,which are discussed in detail from two levels: thinking loneliness and life loneliness.These two levels of loneliness have their own characteristics,showing a strong loneliness characteristics,and unified in loneliness,making the loneliness theme of Anonymity more vivid.The narrative strategies and techniques used in lonely writing in Anonymity are also analyzed through narrative theory,which are illustrated from two aspects: metaphorical construction implying loneliness and narrator’s narrative intervention.Finally,it discusses the deep meaning and the present value of loneliness in Anonymity,excavates the loneliness consciousness behind it,and points out that loneliness helps individuals return to self and nature,and then enjoys loneliness and realizes existence.
