This paper takes a class of painting works which are emerging suddenly in contemporary Chinese painting as the research object.This type of painting is greatly influenced by western modernist art.It emphasizes the expression of picture tension and pays attention to the individualized treatment of brush and ink,color and shape in the works,which highlights the individual subject consciousness of the painter.This paper argues that the traditional Chinese painting with Chinese traditional aesthetic consciousness,because for a long time to book show,calligraphy and painting,very early has the pen and ink language consciously,to some extent,the emphasis of western expressionism expressive with traditional Chinese painting has certain common pursuit of pen and ink performance,which provides the development of contemporary expressive ink.This paper aims to discuss the relationship between expressive ink and traditional brush and ink language.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly summarizes the reason of the topic,research significance and research status.The second chapter mainly analyzes the traditional brush and ink language,analyzes the influence of Chinese traditional culture and philosophy on traditional aesthetic ideas,and expounds the expressiveness of brush and ink in traditional literati paintings,which lays a foundation for the following discussion.The third chapter is the exploration of the present situation of expressive ink painting and its own expressiveness,focusing on the analysis of the expressiveness of ideas and artistic language.The fourth chapter is the focus of this paper,which aims to explore the relationship between expressive ink and the inheritance and derivation of traditional brush and ink language.The first aspect is selective inheritance and the second aspect is derivation.In the aspect of inheritance,this paper discusses the relationship between expressive ink painting and traditional brush and ink language,mainly fromthe perspective of theme criticism and expression mode to pursue intention expression.In the aspect of derivation,it mainly introduces the derivation in composition,brush and ink and concept.This situation is mostly due to the influence of western expressionism,and some changes have been formed in schema language,brush and ink formula and ideology.
