The southwestern part of Hubei Province,as a place of “fighting for being the godlike leader”of the five surnames of Linjun of the Ba people,is a poetic dwelling place of the reality and belief of the Tujia and Miao nationality people from the dual perspectives of existence and consciousness.Especially after Tusi City Site was successfully listed in the world material and cultural heritage,the southwest of Hubei Province has attracted more attention.However,for a long time,due to the relatively closed regional environment,the development of ethnic cultures in southwestern Hubei has been limited and the whole is in a relatively quiet state,which is contrary to the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress report that“ stimulating the creativity of the National culture”.Whether in terms of geographical location or in terms of its own development volume,ethnic literature in southwestern Hubei is an important part of Chinese national literature.In fact,Southwest Hubei not only has the ecological environment of “poetic dwelling”,but also has a rich and unique national culture.Studying ethnic literature in southwest Hubei,combing its overall development order from the perspective of development and evolution,and evaluating and criticizing it aesthetically are not only the needs of the development of ethnic culture in southwest Hubei,but also the common aspirations and expectations of the people in southwest Hubei,and also the inevitable requirements of national cultural policy.The prosperity of ethnic culture are closely related to the unity and friendship between different nationalities.The development of ethnic culture is also the prerequisite for the construction of“Multi-ethnic Literature and art”system in the new era.Ancient folk myths,legends and ballads common constitute basis and source of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei.Specifically speaking,such as saltwater myth,Ba people's “Footsteps”Song,“Zhuzhi Poems”,Tujia's“Baishou Song”and“Wedding Lament”are the specific elements and basis of the formation and evolution of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei,which not only the diachronic component of Western Hubei national literature,but also the locality source.These ancient myths,legends and ballads,which are endogenous to the national culture of southwestern Hubei,have distinct aesthetic characteristics.The love legends of Lin Jun and Yan Shen embody the beauty of the harmony characteristic of Yin and Yang.Yin and Yang,softness and rigidity are the symbols of Tujia people's love reproduction and tribal expedition;the transformation of Badi folk songs to Zhuzhi poems embodiesimmersion characteristic of both elegance and vulgarity,and it is the expression of Badi's feelings and folk rhythm;the cultural relic “Baishou Song” reflects the originality characteristic of the original ecolog,which is the narration of the life and spiritual belief of the ancestors of Tujia and miao nationality.In the course of the evolution of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei,the literature from Qin and Han Dynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties was greatly influenced by central plains culture.Under the influence of external factors,ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei obviously had some aesthetic forms of individuality and generality coexisting.The Badi literati poems in “Huayang Guozhi”,including the poems of folk customs,sacrifice poems and the poems of pleasuring for Dao and old things,whic not only have high artistic achievements,but also reflect the Simple and unadorned aesthetic characteristics.Rongmei Tusi Tian's poets and the Tians' poetry are the products of the literati's admiration and learning of Han culture in the Tusi period of Southwest Hubei Province.They have the characteristics of “strong Qi and weak Yun” or “Qi and Yun harmonious ”,Mainly inherit and imitate the creative art and style of famous poets such as “Libai,Dufu,Quyuan,Songyu” and the “ seven famous poets before and later in Qian Dynasty ”,and come into being the aesthetic form of both“magnificence” and “gracefulness”.The image of “bitter plum” is particularly prominent in the correspondence poems between Qan Dunyuan,the chief minister of Tusi of Zhonglu,and Haiming,the Buddhist monk of Paoshan.It has the implication of Zen's “epiphany”,and embodies the clear inner world and the harmonious and broad-minded aesthetic characteristic.In the late Qing Dynasty,the poetry represented by “Fan Fanshan Poetry Collection” was brilliant and showed the poet's enthusiasm for life and childlike heart.Fan Zengxiang has many admirations for the romantic style of Qun Yuan and Song Yu of Pre-Qin Dynasty and the flowery and sexy style of the late Tang Dynasty.Generally speaking,his poems are full of “elegant and flowery words”,which show the characteristic of “weak beauty” with “weak Qi and obvious Yun”.In the new era,the ethnic literature in southwestern Hubei has been further developed under the interaction of dynamic and multiple "compound" aesthetic characteristics.Its creative group is mainly composed of ethnic minority writers such as Tujia and Miao,and there are many excellent writers and works.During this period,the ethnic literature in southwestern Hubei was mainly in the form of fiction,among which Yemei,Li Chuanfeng,Tujiayefu,Deng Bin and Wang Yuesheng were representative writers.Their representative works included Yemei's collection ofnovels “Flower Lantern,Like Her Eyes”,“Dragon Boat River of Sayou”,“Last Tusi”,“May Moth”,and Li Chuanfeng's animal novels“Retired Military Dog”,“Heroes of Lin Mang”,“The Last White Tiger” and so on.Deng Bin's novel “Saltwater Love story”,Wang Yuesheng's novel “Sa Er He”,“Acquaintance on the High Mountain”,Tujia Yefu's novel “Love in the 1980s” and so on.On the aesthetic characteristics of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei in the new period,there are many "compound" characteristics,such as the solemn characteristic of righteousnes,the pity and sympathy characteristic of deep sorrow and indignation,the simplicity characteristic of self-willed and self-indulgent.To further explore the aesthetic tendency in the new period,there are two representative aesthetic trends.One is the localized writing style of “having soil and roots”,which is an inherent aesthetic expression,reflecting the importance attached by the writers of ethnic literature in southwestern Hubei to the connotation of national culture and national spirit.The other is the breakthrough pursuit of “boundless” writing,which is an external aesthetic pursuit and shows that the southwest ethnic writers admire and draw lessons from excellent external cultures.In short,both the internal aesthetic expression and the external aesthetic appeal embody the aesthetic orientation of Southwest Hubei ethnic literature under the background of the interaction of internal and external cultures in the new era.The study and evaluation of the evolution and aesthetic problems of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei need to clarify the aesthetic relationship and the overall aesthetic path and strategy of its development.As far as the aesthetic relationship of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei is concerned,it mainly presents the diachronic aesthetic relationship between tradition and modern times,the symbiotic aesthetic relationship between locality and cross-border,and the dialogical aesthetic relationship between interaction and aggregation.These three aesthetic relationships respectively elaborate the tearing and fission under the tension of new and old literature in Southwest Hubei,the self-reliance and integration under the interaction of internal and external cultural forces,and the Sympathy and coupling under the creation of writers and the acceptance of readers.As far as the overall aesthetic path and strategy are concerned,we should first clarify the existing problems and practical improvement plans in the development of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei,and then further explore its overall aesthetic path.Specifically,the aesthetic path and strategy of ethnic literature in Southwest Hubei point to three major focus points,namely,the deep excavation of national aesthetic characteristics,the dynamic balance of aesthetic forms and the interactive generation of aestheticideals.To sum up,these three aesthetic strategies advocate taking the connotation of national culture as a foothold,absorbing and drawing lessons from external excellent literary factors,and forming lofty aesthetic ideals with distinct national aesthetic characteristics and dynamic balance form.Generally speaking,the article is different from the previous study and aesthetic evaluation of ethnic culture in southwestern Hubei,which focuses on the form of a smaller “plate”.It combs the development of ethnic literature in southwestern Hubei from a macro perspective and carries out an overall aesthetic grasp,so it has certain literary theoretical value and aesthetic significance.
