Teacher's teaching moral decision-making often occurs in the process of education.Teacher's effective teaching moral decision-making ensures the smooth implementation of educational activities.Furthermore,as a decision maker and implementer,every teacher plays such a significant role of decision making that teacher's excellent teaching moral decision-making ability has a profound impact on effective teaching moral decision-making.In the new era,"moral cultivation" suggests some requirements for teacher's teaching moral decision-making ability.Meanwhile,teachers need to form and develop their teaching moral decision-making abilities because of their professional developments.In this context,an empirical study on the moral awareness and decision tendency of senior high school English teacher's teaching moral decision-making has been done.The purposes of the study are to analyze the status and characters of Chinese senior high school English teacher's moral awareness and decision tendency,and to put forward some suggestions on improving teachers' teaching moral decision-making ability.Therefore,based on the Multidimensional Moral Scale,326 Chinese senior high school English teachers' moral awareness and decision tendencies were empirically analyzed.The study combines qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis by employing literature review,questionnaire and statistical analysis.The study demonstrates that teachers have strong moral awareness and show differences in different situations;moral awareness is affected by "social culture" significantly;teachers' moral decision tendencies show situational differences,and are highly related to moral awareness.Then suggestions would be developed for improving teacher's teaching moral decisionmaking ability.Reinforcing moral awareness,paying attention to the situation experience and role involvement of moral awareness,paying attention to individual differences and levels of moral awareness,creating community morality and advocating moral reflection are more conducive to the development of teachers' moral decision-making ability.
