| In the 21 st century,with the development of the Internet and the convenience of knowledge acquisition,new requirements have been put forward for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.In April 2018,the Ministry of Education promulgated Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan,which proposed to “actively promote‘Internet + education’ and adhered to the core concept of deep integration of information technology and education and teaching”.The traditional teaching method with characters and symbols as the main content can no longer meet the needs of students in the information age,while the information teaching makes the knowledge more vivid and specific,which can mobilize the classroom atmosphere,stimulate the enthusiasm of students,and thus improve the teaching efficiency and teaching effect.Students no longer just passively accept knowledge,and they can acquire knowledge independently and develop the ability of independent learning.Therefore,in the information age,the authority of teachers in traditional teaching has been challenged,and the role of teachers has become leaders,organizers and even collaborators.Senior high school English teachers need to keep pace with the times and the trend of technology development,constantly improve the awareness,knowledge and ability of using information technology,and properly integrate and use information technology in the specific classroom teaching design and implementation process.In this paper,104 English teachers in 5 senior high schools in Taizhou city were investigated by questionnaires,and 5 teachers were randomly selected for interviews.A semester observation was made on the classroom teaching of English teachers in Grade One of Jiangsu Taizhou High School to solve the following two questions:1.What is the status quo of English teachers’ teaching ability with ICT in senior high school?2.What are the main factors influencing the development of English teachers’ teaching ability with ICT in senior high school?In order to investigate the English teachers’ teaching ability with ICT in senior high school,this thesis,which is based mainly on questionnaire combined with interviewing and classroom observing,has studied the English teachers in senior high school,and the following conclusions are drawn,(1)Senior high school English teachers hold a positive attitude towards the application of modern information technology in senior high school English classes,and most senior high school English teachers have realized the importance of the application of information technology in class.However,in the specific classroom teaching,the current situation of integrating information technology in English teaching and using it reasonably is not ideal,and the teaching ability with ICT of senior high school English teachers still needs to be improved.(2)The main factors affecting the development of high school English teachers’ teaching ability with ICT include subjective factors and objective factors.Subjective factors include teachers’ awareness and attitude,and motivation.Objective factors include the influence of school “objects” and “people”,school and national training.Through this study,we can have a better understanding of the current situation and influencing factors of senior high school English teachers’ teaching ability with ICT.This research can improve teachers,schools and the country’s attention to the information teaching ability,and put forward targeted suggestions for improving the information teaching ability. |
