A Study Of Discourse Markers Based On Oral Chinese Materials For TCFL

To cultivate the ability of using Chinese to communicate is the fundamental task of TCFL which asks the Chinese learner accurately understand others or understood by others through fluent oral Chinese.It is important for Chinese learner to acquire discourse makers which is used to connect discourse in oral communication as functional words.As an important material and reference of Chinese learner,oral teaching material,which reflects the general design of arrangement,is the essential part of TCFL.However,there are still some problems in the arrangement of discourse markers in the oral teaching materials.This paper is divided into seven parts.The Introduction mainly introduces the significance,methods,language corpus,emphasis,difficulties,innovations and research status of discourse markers.The Chapter One defines and classifies the discourse markers in the series of Experiencing Chinese Oral Course(1-8).The Chapter Two analyzes the function of discourse markers in the textbooks.The Chapter Three analyzes the discourse markers in the textbooks from quantity,frequency and arrangement,furthermore,summarizes the the characteristics and problems of the discourse markers.Combining with the statistics and analysis,The Chapter Four investigates 105 foreign students in the acquisition and usage of 30 discourse markers which are frequently and widely used from the textbooks,moreover,analyzes the main types of their mistakes and the causes of these mistakes.The Chapter Five puts forward suggestions on the selection,arrangement and teaching of discourse markers.The last part is Conclusion which sums up the result of the paper and some problem should to be solved further.
