Dancers in dance performances must portray the characters they want to express, which is the beginning of the spiritual convergence between the performers and the audience. Therefore, the successful completion of a dance work,in addition to its creation, there is more important is the performance, and the core part of the performance is the dancer's image of the characters in the work "shape" and "god" shape.Specifically, dancers first need to have a profound understanding of the characters in their performances, including their inner world, emotional changes and the ideas to be expressed in the works, etc.,to conceive on the basis of feelings, and portray them through their own performances. While performing,we need to understand the situation and temperament of the characters on the basis of understanding, place ourselves in the world of the characters, experience all the internal and external characteristics of the characters,so as to repeatedly practice the characters' physical characteristics and achieve "both physical and spiritual".In the first part, this paper elaborates the relationship between "form" and "god" in the characterization and the practical application of "form" and "god" in the dancing performance.By taking the two works of graduation special performance "Nabie" and "Hakka Xia" as the research objects, this paper analyses the combination of form and spirit in the characterization of dancing performance. The third part elaborates the problems and reflections encountered in shaping the characters through the practice of graduation specialty.
